Warranty
Station to Station Vintage Watches GmbH provides a twelve-month warranty on every watch sold, commencing on the date stated on the corresponding invoice and warranty card.
Coverage
The warranty covers defects in the proper mechanical functioning of the watch that arise under normal and appropriate use during the warranty period. In the event of a valid warranty claim, Station to Station Vintage Watches GmbH will, at its discretion, repair the watch, arrange for the necessary repair by a qualified specialist, or provide another appropriate remedy.
Exclusions
- Normal wear and ageing of the watch.
- Loss of accuracy within tolerances customary for the watch’s age and movement.
- Damage caused by accident, impact, misuse, negligence or improper handling.
- Water or moisture damage, unless water resistance was expressly confirmed in writing at the time of sale.
- Damage to the case, bracelet, strap, clasp, crown, pushers, crystal, dial, hands, bezel or other cosmetic components.
- Wear, deterioration or breakage of vintage or original components.
- Damage resulting from magnetic fields, extreme temperatures or external influences.
- Theft, loss or consequential damage.
- Repairs, servicing, alterations or opening of the watch by any third party not previously authorised in writing by Station to Station Vintage Watches GmbH.
Due to the age and individual history of vintage and pre-owned watches, signs of wear, previous polishing, replacement parts, restorations and variations in originality may be present. Any condition, characteristic or modification disclosed before the sale does not constitute a defect and is not covered by the warranty.
How to Claim
To make a warranty claim, the purchaser must contact Station to Station Vintage Watches GmbH promptly after discovering the issue and provide the original invoice and completed warranty card. The watch may not be opened, repaired or altered before it has been inspected or authorised by Station to Station Vintage Watches GmbH.
The purchaser is responsible for securely delivering the watch to the location specified by Station to Station Vintage Watches GmbH. Shipping, insurance, customs duties and related costs are borne by the purchaser unless the warranty claim is accepted and Station to Station Vintage Watches GmbH agrees otherwise in writing.
The warranty is issued to the original purchaser and is not transferable unless expressly confirmed in writing. It does not provide any entitlement to a replacement watch, refund or reduction of the purchase price unless agreed by Station to Station Vintage Watches GmbH or required by mandatory applicable law.
This warranty is subject to Swiss law. Any mandatory statutory rights of the purchaser remain unaffected. Swiss sales law generally permits contractual warranty terms, although liability cannot validly be excluded where a seller has fraudulently concealed a defect.
